From Cochin to Tiruvandrum

Day 1: Arrival in Cochin.

Arrival at Cochin. Sightseeing of Fort Cochin a whole day by visiting the Chinese Fishing nets, Dutch Cemetry, St.Francis Church of 16th century where you can see the tomb of Vasco-da-gama, a Portuguese sailor and Santa Cruz Basilica.

Full day sightseeing of Cochin including the visit of Ernakulam,Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, sunset cruise and Kathakali-Traditional dance performance show of Kerala in the evening.

Day 3: Cochin - Munnar

In the morning drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill station which is about 1600 to 1800m above the sea level. While driving from Cochin, you can able to see many tea estates, plantations, water cascades and the villages.Relax in cool climate

Day 4: Munnar

Explore the whole day in Munnar. The main attractions in Munnar are Eravikulam Wild life Sanctuary, Mattupetty Dam, Boat ride, elephant ride etc.

Day 5: Munnar - Periyar

Drive to Periyar, also known as Thekkady, the frontier between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. In the evening visit the spice plantations with a guide who explains the medicinal benefits of each and every plant such as pepper, cardamom, cloves, cinnamom, nutmeg etc.

Day 6:Periyar

If you feel free,you can do some interesting activities like trekking in the Periyar Wild Life Reserve, elephant ride, boat ride, traditional ayurvedic massage. Have a walk in the spice streets.

Day 7: Periyar - Kumarakom

After the breakfast, drive to Kumarakom. Enroute if you are interested, you can do the guided tour for the visit of tea plantations. In the afternoon visit the Kumarakon Birds Sanctuary and relax situated on the land of backwaters.

Day 9:Kumarakom - Alleppey

In the afternoon, check into the Air-conditioned Houseboat (alsoknown as Kettuvalam) at about 12:30 pm in Kumarakom and have your deliciouslunch and dinner in the houseboat. You can have the backwater cruise forabout four hours by passing through the canals and see the real life activitiesof the people on the backwaters. Day 10: Alleppey-Kovalam

In the morning, after the breakfast in the houseboat, Check out from the House Boat. Drive from Alleppey to Kovalam - A Beach Paradise, India’s most spectacular beach destination just 14kms from Tiruvandrum. It is a sheltered natural bay with the boundless blue of the Arabian Sea.
